Seeing a healthy baby at this scan is the most important thing.The First Trimester Screening also gives a risk evaluation for Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome and Patau’s syndrome. Prior to your scan your doctor will give you a script to have a blood test at 10-11 weeks. Our programme uses that information and more along with the measurement at the back of baby’s neck (Nuchal Translucency) to generate the risk.
